Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Taff Pest Control handles your personal information. It is written to comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

Taff Pest Control is the trading name of Henry Fuller, a sole trader based in Cardiff. Henry is the “data controller” for the purposes of UK GDPR. Our postal address is Laurel Cottage, St Fagans, Cardiff CF5 6DS. You can contact us about anything in this policy by email at [email protected] or by phone on 07307 190055.

What information we collect

We only collect what we need to respond to your enquiry and carry out pest control work:

  • Contact form data: your name, mobile number, postcode, the pest type and property details you tell us, any message you write, and your preferred way of being contacted.
  • Phone and WhatsApp contact data: if you call, text or WhatsApp us, we’ll have your phone number and any messages or images you send, so we can quote for and carry out the work.
  • Website analytics: this site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-friendly and cookieless. No analytics cookies are set, and the data is aggregated, so it doesn’t identify you personally.
  • Call and WhatsApp button taps: when you tap a Call or WhatsApp button or link, the site adds one to a daily count for that page, so we can see which pages help people get in touch. The count itself stores nothing about you: no cookies, no IP address and no device details.

Cookies

This site is built to work without tracking you, which is why there is no cookie banner: none is needed.

  • We set no advertising, marketing or tracking cookies, and no analytics cookies (our analytics is cookieless, as above).
  • Strictly necessary cookies: Cloudflare, which delivers this site, may set essential security cookies (such as __cf_bm) to protect the site against bots and abuse. These are required for the service to work and are exempt from consent requirements.
  • The map on our contact page loads only if you choose to load it by pressing the button. Doing so connects your browser to Google Maps, and Google’s privacy policy then applies to that content.

Why we collect it, and the legal basis

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, provide a quote, arrange and carry out treatment, and keep a record of the work. The legal basis is your consent when you get in touch, and our legitimate interests (and, once you book, the performance of our contract) in providing the service you’ve asked for. We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or share them for marketing.

Who we share it with

We keep your information to ourselves wherever possible. We’ll only share it where it’s necessary to do the job or required by law; for example, referring a drainage survey to a trusted contractor with your agreement. Our website and form data are hosted on our behalf by our web and email providers, who process it under appropriate agreements.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and job records for up to 24 months after our last contact, after which they are deleted, unless we’re required to keep certain records longer for legal or accounting reasons.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, just contact us at [email protected].

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, we’d like the chance to put it right; please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
