Wildlife Management in Cardiff

Some pests never set foot in the house. They’re in the lawn, the garden or the paddock. Moles can wreck a well-kept lawn in a weekend; foxes make themselves at home under decking and sheds and treat the garden as their round. Neither calls for a heavy hand, but both need doing properly and within the law.

Wildlife management in Cardiff and the Vale is where our measured approach earns its keep: with foxes especially, deterrence and proofing solve more problems than anything dramatic, and the results last longer. From the garden squares of the city out to the pony paddocks around Wenvoe and Sully, the principle holds: understand the animal, remove what’s attracting it, and make the change permanent.

Moles

Fresh heaps across the lawn overnight, ridged turf underfoot. Traditional trapping, read from the ground; always a two-visit minimum, quoted as such.

Foxes

Fouling, night noise, an earth under the shed. Practical deterrence and proofing: low-key, lawful, and honest about what works.

Common questions

Can you get rid of a mole in one visit?

No. Trapping is always a minimum of two visits: one to set in the active runs, one to check and clear. Anyone promising a one-visit fix isn’t being straight with you.

What can actually be done about a fox?

Deterrence and proofing: remove the food and shelter drawing it in, block the favoured spots once they’re confirmed empty. Less dramatic than people expect, and it’s what works. We’ll set realistic expectations on the phone.

Do you cover the Vale as well as Cardiff?

Yes: lawns, gardens, paddocks and smallholdings across Cardiff, Penarth, the Vale villages and out to Cowbridge. Mole work especially takes us well beyond the city.
